Moorcroft The Moorcroft Legacy

On 22nd April 1913 Moorcroft's founder William Moorcroft incorporated W. Moorcroft Ltd aged only 41 and ran the company for 32 years until passing the mantel to his oldest son, Walter Moorcroft, in 1945.
The Moorcroft Legacy is a limited edition vase featuring the iconic factory. The original factory had three main bottle ovens built in 1913, 1916 and 1919 with a further two smaller kilns used solely for lustre and flambe firings. Due to the Clean Air Act of 1956, all five bottle kilns ceased being used and sadly four were demolished. Kerry’s design celebrates the sole survivor that can still be visited today at the Heritage Visitor Centre in Burslem – ensuring the Moorcroft legacy lives on.
